Music, Movement & Everyday Calm
Mindful Music is a supportive, interactive music experience designed for children and youth, including learners with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
Through rhythm, movement, mindful listening, and creative musical expression, learners practice focus, communication, confidence, self-expression, and everyday strategies for finding calm.
Sessions are engaging and highly interactive. Learners may participate in rhythm games, movement to music, singing or vocal exploration, focused listening, breathing exercises, creative sound-making, and collaborative music activities. Activities can be adapted for different abilities, communication styles, learning preferences, and levels of musical experience. No previous music experience is required, and learners do not need to own an instrument.
